Who We Share It With

We do not sell or lend your Personal Information to third parties for their own use. We share it only with:

  • Shopify, which powers our online store.
  • Payment gateway: your payment details go directly to our PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We do not collect or store them.
  • Courier partners, to deliver your order.
  • Email marketing providers, to send you newsletters and updates.
  • Google Analytics, to understand how customers use our Site. You can read how Google uses your information here.
  • Advertising platforms (Google Ads and Meta), to measure and show our ads (see “Personalised Advertising” below).
  • Authorities, where required to comply with applicable laws, respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request, or protect our rights.

Some of these partners are based outside India, so your information may be processed in other countries. We only work with partners that protect it appropriately.

Personalised Advertising

  • We use cookies and pixels from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to show you ads and marketing messages we believe may interest you, and to measure how well our campaigns work.
  • This may include showing our ads to people who have visited our Site before.
  • To opt out of any marketing emails, click the “Unsubscribe” link in the email.

How We Keep It Safe & For How Long

Security:

  • Our Site runs on Shopify and uses SSL encryption.
  • Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant gateway.
  • Access to your information is limited to people and partners who need it to serve you.

How long we keep it:

  • Order and invoice records: up to 8 years, as required for legal, tax and accounting purposes.
  • Account and newsletter data: until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe.
  • Browsing and analytics data: up to 14 months.

Your Choices & Your Rights

  • Access and correction: ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, or to correct it.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your Personal Information. Email us at care@thehempstudio.in with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and your registered email address. We will confirm and delete your data within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law (such as invoices).
  • Opt out of marketing: use the “Unsubscribe” link in any email.
  • Cookies: use the Allow/Decline option on our cookie banner, or change your browser settings.
  • Withdraw consent: write to us at any time.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Information from anyone under 18 without verified parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Do Not Track

Please note that because there is no consistent industry understanding of how to respond to “Do Not Track” signals, we do not alter our data collection and usage practices when we detect such a signal from your browser.
